Courses are held over two days, usually Tuesday & Wednesday to allow access for engineers who may have to travel some distance.
The Course covers all aspects of floor heating from radiant theory to the correct setting of controls. Knowing how to fit pipes into the floor is all very well, but it is more important to know what it is that you are dealing with and how it affects the occupants. It is worth remembering that the more you know about any subject the more interesting it becomes.
Controls are an essential part of the course, you will learn what the individual components do and how they all fit together in the grand scheme of things - a quality floor heating system must have a quality control arrangement and it must be set to the end users requirements.
You will also learn how to link with other building services such as domestic hot water, radiator and towel rail circuits etc. Various heat sources are discussed as the implications of some will affect the method of design and connections.
We don't set fixed course dates as we have found that it is better if individuals contact us with their requirements.
